Request for Proposals: environment to collaborate and obtain information from the suppliers

Request for Proposals RFP

The Request for Proposals (RFP) is similar to the RFQ, but RFP admits less specific conditions. For example, the price isn’t a compulsory created criterion.

The RFP tool has been designed as a collaborative environment with the suppliers to obtain more information and define our needs in order to improve the final specifications.

The Request for Proposals is perfect for the suppliers to present improvements or alternatives and it’s often used as the first round of a subsequent negotiation in RFQ or auction mode.

  • The RFP negotiation can be used to obtain information about the suppliers and also to evaluate them
  • Proposals for different versions of the product can be created
  • The buyer can add an unlimited amount of evaluation criteria of different types
  • The buyer can add comments and make counteroffers to the suppliers
